And His Name Is George Alexander Louis

royal

These days the talk’s all about the royal baby. It’s on the news, on all information media, social networks. BBC gave special coverage to the event, much to the vexation of many of its viewers who found the coverage an overkill.

The little prince made his entry into this world on 22nd July 2013. News of his arrival was followed by 2 days of speculation among his countrymen about what his name would be. I wonder, what his parents were doing for 9 months if not thinking up a name for him. All other baby arrival preps tend to take more time than choosing a name (I speak from experience here). He’s finally been named, George Alexander Louis (quite a commanding name I must say). Any thoughts on why he couldn’t be named Sam, Sean or Dean? 😛 (please make no connection with Supernatural here)

Anyways, so now he’s named and we’ve been receiving (literally) minute by minute updates of his arrival since his mum went into labour. Makes me wonder how God has chosen some children to be born to such privilege that their lives are a matter of global discussion from the second they’re born. And this makes me wonder further, what an opportunity God has given such people to make a valuable contribution to the world.

  1. @”what an opportunity God has given such people to make a valuable contribution to the world.”.. I never heard royal family doing anything for the masses. All the news we hear is marriage, princess’s topless pics, labor and children .. how can someone who is so much center of attention of people around the world ( in ex colonies or otherwise) can remain so indifferent and don’t thing of giving back..!

  2. Loved it! In comment to your last line of the article: Diana was told by the Queen not to talk to strangers.. on the contrary William was told that it is his job to talk to strangers by Diana.. lets see which example the new little dude will follow…
